Loopbaan

Na het afronden van mijn proefschrift in 1997 over de gevolgen van ingrijpende levensgebeurtenissen bij ouderen was ik als coördinator betrokken bij een onderzoeksprogramma van het Interuniversity Center for Social Science and Methodology naar verschillende vormen van gemeenschap in Nederland. Binnen dit programma heb ik een meetinstrument voor kwaliteit van leven ontwikkeld. Ik was eveneens verbonden aan de RUG als docent en gaf onderwijs over methoden van onderzoek en sociologie. Van januari 2001 tot februari 2003 heb als universitair docent gewerkt bij de capaciteitsgroep Beleid, Economie en Organisatie van Zorg van de Universiteit Maastricht. Hier doceerde ik vooral op het terrein van zorgmanagement en richtte mijn onderzoek zich op de organisatie van zorg. Vanaf 2003 ben ik werkzaam bij het iBMG als opleidingscoördinator van de master Zorgmanagement. En van maart 2007 tot januari 2010 als interim sectieleider van de sectie Bedrijfsvoering Zorgorganisaties. Momenteel leid ik een groep van 10 onderzoekers op het terrein van innovatiemanagement in de care sector, disease management en zorg voor kwetsbare ouderen.
